-- Overview As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment, as well as a holistic understanding of the functions of, and interactions between, network and server equipment.
You will provide input for suggested modifications to these processes and procedures as needed to improve service quality and efficiency while providing guidance to other technicians.
You may be required to travel between sites as part of this role so a valid driver's license will be required.
Microsoft's Cloud Operations observes more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and relevant on-the-job training.
Contributes to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information with others, contributing to regular team meetings, asking questions, and staying apprised of the status of others' work.
Has pride and a sense of accountability for the service quality, completeness, and resulting user experience; displays accountability and ownership of the data center facilities.

Qualifications Required Qualifications : Completed High/Secondary School, GED, an apprenticeship/vocational qualification, or equivalent experience and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
Experienced in diagnostics, troubleshooting , route cause analysis of hardware deployments.
Experience of Decommissioning and Upgrading hardware.
You may be required to travel between sites as part of this role so a valid driver's license will be required.
Background Check Requirements : Ability to meet Microsoft,



customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications : Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
Data Center Technicians ATR-B - The typical base pay range for this role across Italy is € 28,****** - € 38,****** per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
