Postdoctoral position at the ISI foundation
The Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation (ISI) welcomes applications to fill one postdoctoral fellowship early in **** in the domain of "Collective Phenomena in Physics & Materials Science".
The successful candidate should have a Ph. D. in physics or related fields and a strong background in computational methods with expertise in one or more of the following areas: statistical mechanics (scaling and critical phenomena), fracture, dislocation dynamics and plasticity, mechanics of disordered media, soft matter and biological systems.
The ISI Foundation offers a stimulating environment with different groups working in interdisciplinary research on complex systems.
The duration of the fellowship is one year, and it is renewable for a second year.
