The role demands an individual who can build and manage an aggressive daily delivery dispatch schedule specifically tailored for heavy, bulky, and high-value consumer goods. /ppstrongThe Mission Core Scope /strong /pulliThe Mission: Establish, lead, and optimize the daily outbound transport and final delivery execution for the Large Item DC, ensuring that all bulky goods leave the facility safely, on time, and aligned with target customer delivery windows. /liliThe Scope:
You will take direct operational leadership over the outbound distribution floor and delivery routing desk, managing a team of dispatchers while coordinating seamlessly with both our internal dedicated fleet (1PL) and external carrier networks (3PL). /li /ulpstrongCrucial Expectations Performance Targets /strong /ppTo provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months: /polliDispatch Desk Outbound Setup: Successfully design and implement daily loading, route allocation, and vehicle dispatch protocols for large-item distribution prior to site launch. /liliDelivery Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Maintain a high On-Time Delivery (OTD) rate and minimal delivery failure rates by tracking routes in real-time and actively resolving carrier delays. /liliCapacity and Fleet Synchronization: Optimize vehicle cubic capacity utilization and coordinate fluid driver shift handovers, minimizing empty miles and loading delays at the bays. /liliTransport Quality Exception Control: Implement strict outbound checking mechanisms to ensure zero loading damages, correct transport documentation compliance, and efficient processing of delivery exceptions or field returns.
/li /olpstrongPosition Requirements /strong /pulliGreenfield Launch Expertise: You must have a verified background of successfully leading an outbound transport desk, delivery operations team, or cross-docking dispatch function within a fast-paced retail, e-commerce, or industrial logistics hub. /liliBulky Goods Distribution Experience: Proven experience handling heavy freight, large home appliances, or furniture distribution networks, with solid knowledge of vehicle weight limits, secure cargo loading, and transport regulations. /liliLanguage Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Italian is mandatory to direct local drivers, manage carrier dispatchers, and provide accurate performance reporting to global HQ.
