Overview

Join Alstom as a Structural Design Mechanical Design Engineer to lead CAD activities and deliver 3D detailed designs of carbody shell structures. You will also create 2D drawings and coordinate with subcontractors within a cross-functional engineering context. This role supports weight data, structural integrity collaboration, and manufacturability considerations to ensure high-quality, build-ready deliverables. You’ll work in a hybrid setup within the Engineering (Site) team and report to the Structural Design domain lead.

Responsabilità

- Manage CAD activities and ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate interfaces with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Perform 3D detailed design of structural parts (carbody shell)
- Produce 2D or annotated 3D detailed drawings




- Adhere to data structuration rules and internal standards
- Contribute to weight data and structural integrity discussions
- Provide inputs for manufacturability and load-case analyses

Requisiti fondamentali

- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably related to railway products
- 3D modelling and drawing creation experience
- Ability to work in heavy industry environments and perform concurrent engineering
- Basic English and Italian for technical meetings (read/write)
