Overview
In this role you ensure Barilla’s food technology standards at the Novara plant, guiding process and technology governance and supporting trials with cross-functional teams. You will strengthen the plant’s technical know-how and foster a culture of rigorous process control. You lead technical input for product, packaging, and industrialization initiatives and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role with a clear link to product development and industrial trials.
Responsabilità
- Define and continuously improve plant technology and process standards in collaboration with Product Development, Packaging Development, Process Development and Industrialization
- Identify opportunities to enhance product quality through process standard evolution
- Maintain responsibility for technology and process standards while quality plans stay under Quality ownership
- Monitor packaging line performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to ensure packaging quality and line reliability
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to projects under Continuous Improvement/CS Program
- Propose evolutions to improve stability, capability and quality adherence in collaboration with Quality, Industrialization and Packaging Development
- Provide technological expertise to support industrial trials on new products, technologies, raw materials and growth initiatives (including DTV and PCM)
- Monitor process parameters,
analyze hold records, diagnose anomalies, and recommend corrective actions
- Escalate significant process deviations for recovery planning and support CAPA planning with Quality, Industrialization and Packaging Development
- Conduct periodic checks of production processes with technical instruments and ensure accuracy of specifications
- Strengthen technological culture through coaching and training of plant personnel and joint reviews of anomalies and non-conformities
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master’s degree in a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years in technical/technological roles in production environments or RDQ functions
- Proven leadership in cross-functional initiatives
- Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders
- Track record of delivering results in fast-paced operations
- Excellent multi-priority management and structured execution across projects
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Solid project management experience and competence development of technical teams
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven process evaluation
- Lean or Six Sigma training/certification a plus with ability to promote CI principles
- Fluency in Italian and English with strong communication across levels
