Overview
As Head of Commodity, you will define and drive the sourcing and AVL strategy to secure cost competitiveness and reliable supply. You will lead Commodity Managers, align sourcing with the tech roadmap, and push value through targeted cost reductions and supplier optimization. You will own RFx/RFQ and pricing governance, manage supplier lifecycles, and steer contracts and commercial agreements. You will monitor market trends, coordinate with R&D;, and champion digital tools to streamline procurement. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role shaping sourcing excellence and supply chain resilience.
Responsabilità
- Define and execute sourcing and AVL strategy; optimize supplier base
- Lead Commodity Managers and align activities with business/tech roadmap
- Drive cost savings via structured initiatives and cost analysis
- Own RFx/RFQ processes, pricing management and trend monitoring
- Lead supplier lifecycle management including onboarding, performance reviews, escalations
- Negotiate contracts including ODM/JDM partnerships and cost optimization
- Monitor market and technology trends; align with R&D; roadmaps
- Serve as focal point for supply chain topics and escalation management
- Manage material-related activities: demand monitoring, lead-time reduction,
multi-source allocation, KPIs
- Define targets and report savings, pipeline, and RTC
- Ensure supplier compliance with policies
- Maintain procurement tools; drive digitalization and automation initiatives
- Build and mentor the Commodity team
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering; MBA is a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in procurement
- 7 years’ strategic sourcing experience; influence business strategy and vendor relations
- 5 years’ experience in leading cross-divisional teams
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven cost-saving track record; diversification of supply chain
- Experience developing and implementing sourcing processes and tools
- Long-standing experience in commodity and supplier management
- Superior cross-functional and cross-cultural communication
- Proactive, multitasking, cross-functional coordination
- Experience in electronics manufacturing environment
- Fluent in English
