Overview
In this role you will lead technical efforts for injection and compression rubber components, shaping tooling, compounds, and manufacturing processes. You will support quotations with should-cost analyses and partner selection, driving cost-conscious design and production concepts. You will manage Make-or-Buy decisions, supplier ecosystems, and sampling through PPAP to serial production, while improving TCO and supplier performance. You will work across sales, sourcing, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality sealing solutions.

Responsabilità
- Provide technical leadership for injection and compression molded rubber components, including tooling, compound selection, and production processes
- Lead engineering support during quotations with should-cost analyses and partner selection
- Drive Design-to-Cost by optimizing material choices, tooling concepts, and production technologies
- Manage Make-or-Buy decisions, supplier selection, and sampling from prototype to PPAP and serial production
- Optimize Total Cost of Ownership by building a high-performing supplier portfolio with focus on quality and reliability
- Support business growth by leading engineering projects and acting as the technical center for rubber molding
- Collaborate with sales, sourcing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline (Bachelor's, Master's, FH, or University)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in rubber manufacturing, especially injection molding of components like O-rings and technical molded parts
- Strong project management experience in a customer-facing, international environment with cross-functional coordination
- Extensive knowledge of rubber molding technologies (injection, compression, transfer, tooling, compounds, equipment)
- Understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier selection, should-cost analysis, procurement, and basic supply chain management
- Ability to read/interpret complex technical drawings; strong analytical thinking; commercial awareness; proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Excellent communication, proactive mindset, customer orientation, teamwork, fluency in English; German and/or Italian required
