Overview
In this role you will join a cross-functional team as a Scala engineer to help scale Moneyfarm’s backend architecture for rapid user growth. You will become the go-to backend expert, delivering high-quality, well-tested code while continuously improving systems and reducing technical debt. You’ll collaborate to adopt new technologies and share knowledge to strengthen the platform. The opportunity combines hands-on coding with shaping architecture and engineering practices in a fast-moving fintech environment.
Responsabilità
- Build understanding of the Moneyfarm architecture and contribute improvement plans
- Produce high-quality code with sufficient test coverage
- Conduct constructive code reviews and help improve team practices
- Stay updated on industry developments and their relevance to the company
- Share knowledge to improve Moneyfarm systems and colleagues’ work
Requisiti fondamentali
- Minimum 2 years of commercial software engineering experience
- Bachelor in Software Engineering or Computer Science (preferred)
- Scala commercial experience preferred but not essential if strong transferable skills (Java 8+, Kotlin)
- Experience with microservices, event streaming, cloud providers
- Kafka, Kubernetes and AWS knowledge a plus
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Kanban/Lean)
- Experience with Git and code reviews
- CI/CD knowledge (GitLab CI)
- Attention to testing and detail
- Experience in fintech or wealth management is a plus
- English communication skills; Italian is a plus
