Overview In this role you support ABB’s R&D; and Product Care by maintaining product structures, BOMs, and documentation while enabling digitalization of product data. You will ensure data quality and alignment across engineering systems, playing a key part in product launches and change management. You will apply AI and automation tools to streamline documentation and data workflows in a cross-functional, international environment. This position combines data integrity, process improvement, and cross-team collaboration to sustain product excellence.

Responsabilità

Create, maintain and manage product structures, BOMs, codifications, and related engineering data Create, maintain and update technical product documentation per standards and regulatory requirements Ensure traceability, completeness, and quality of released documentation across the product lifecycle Support product launches, engineering changes,



and maintenance with timely documentation updates Align engineering docs with enterprise systems and manage information in SAP and Windchill Support engineering change workflows and product release processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve data quality Contribute to standardization and optimization of product data and documentation processes Identify opportunities for process simplification, digitalization, and automation, focusing on data quality and repetitive tasks Apply AI-enabled tools to documentation, data management, validation, and process improvement Own assigned processes and become a reference point for related activities

Requisiti fondamentali

Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD; Nice to have Catia V5 and Creo 8.0 Communicate in Italian and English Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems Knowledge of Windchill or equivalent PLM/PDM platforms Understanding of Bills of Materials, product structures, codification and configuration principles Familiarity with technical documentation processes and document control Understanding of engineering change management processes Interest in applying AI and automation to improve data quality and efficiency Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data validation, datasets, reporting) Ability to create or maintain Excel macros and VBA is an advantage Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for data modelling, dashboards and KPI visualization Ability to identify use cases and apply AI tools to improve documentation, data analysis and automation Strong data mindset for large datasets and pre-release data quality cross-functional collaboration detail-oriented and proactive strong communication Excel (advanced), PivotTables, Power Query, VBA/macros Power BI SAP and Windchill or similar PLM/PDM
