Overview In this role you will design and optimize MEMS structures for inertial sensors, focusing on gyroscopes, at the Milan Design Center. You will run model-based design and dedicated simulations to refine mechanical and electrical behavior, and develop novel algorithms for optimization. You will work within a cross-functional team, coordinating design, simulation, and project-management activities to drive innovative sensing solutions. This position offers collaboration with engineering and technology teams and exposure to cutting-edge MEMS technology.

Responsabilità

Design mechanical and electrical behavior of new MEMS structures based on customer requirements Conduct simulations to optimize MEMS structures with emphasis on gyroscopes Develop algorithms for design optimization and improve simulation methods Collaborate within a cross-functional engineering team Analyze cause-and-effect within designs and simulations Coordinate design and simulation tasks across teams Maintain close cooperation with project management and technology development Participate in lab experiments and validate designs

Requisiti fondamentali

Master of Science or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent Fluent English (minimum B2); German is a plus Proficient coder with MATLAB and Python; experience with Finite Element Simulation tools required Simulink skills are preferred Autonomous, self-organized working style in a complex development environment Structured concept development for simulations and algorithms Experience as MEMS design and model development specialist for inertial MEMS sensors (FEM, Matlab) with 3–5 years of experience Experience working in cross-functional teams (ASIC, package, etc.) Experience designing and conducting lab experiments autonomy structured thinking excellent presentation skills MATLAB Python Finite Element Method
