Overview
In this role you will act as the HSE subject matter expert across development, construction and commissioning of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects in Italy. You will lead the company’s HSE framework, ensuring compliance with Italian legislation and industry best practice, while partnering with senior management, project teams and contractors. You’ll coordinate HSE with clients, designers, EPCs and other stakeholders and drive incident investigations and risk mitigation. This position offers hands-on leadership in a lean, fast-moving environment with a clear impact on safety performance. Responsabilità
Lead and continuously improve the company’s HSE management framework Ensure compliance with Italian HSE legislation and industry best practice Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, risk assessments and reporting systems Provide HSE leadership across renewable energy projects from development through to commissioning Monitor EPC contractor and subcontractor HSE compliance Conduct site inspections, audits and safety reviews Lead incident investigations and corrective actions Identify and mitigate critical construction HSE risks Prepare, review and manage PSC documentation Coordinate HSE requirements between clients, designers,
EPC contractors and other stakeholders Carry out site inspections and safety coordination during project execution Escalate and address significant HSE issues and non-compliances Requisiti fondamentali
Significant HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects Proven experience supporting large-scale construction projects Utility-scale Solar PV experience strongly preferred Exposure to BESS and/or HV electrical infrastructure is a major advantage Strong experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors from an HSE perspective Strong knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly Legislative Decree 81/2008 CSP/CSE qualification compliant with Italian legislation Experience with construction-site safety, risk assessments and incident investigations Comfortable working autonomously within a lean, fast-moving organization Good working knowledge of English Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Italy Autonomy and self-motivation Stakeholder collaboration and coordination Strong communication and reporting Legislative Decree 81/2008 expertise HSE management systems and risk assessment Incident investigation and corrective actions
