The Opportunity
Piper Maddox are supporting a leading European IPP developing, financing and operating utility-scaleSolar PV, BESS and Onshore Windprojects across Europe.
With a significant multi-GW pipeline, they are looking for aProcurement Directorto lead their procurement strategy and supply chain operations from their Milan headquarters.
You will take strategic and operational ownership of procurement, combining high-value negotiations, tender management, supplier strategy and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies acrossSolar PV, BESS and Windprojects.
Lead end-to-endRFP/RFQ and tender processes, from supplier selection through to contract award.
Negotiate major equipment and supply agreements coveringBESS systems, PV modules, inverters, mounting structures and WTGs.
Negotiate and manageEPC, BESS, LTSA and O&M; contracts.
Oversee purchasing andPO workflows, ensuring alignment with project financing and construction milestones.
Collaborate closely withEPC, Engineering, Development,
Legal, Finance and Constructionteams.
Ensure procurement activities meet corporate governance and ESG requirements.
Key Requirements
10+ years' procurement experiencewithin renewable energy, energy infrastructure or utilities.
Proven experience managing procurement forutility-scale Solar PV and BESS; Wind/WTG experience is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of the European renewable energy supply chain, EPC market and major equipment suppliers.
Proven experience negotiating high-value equipment and EPC contracts.
Experience leading and developing procurement teams.
Fluent Italian and English.
Based in or willing to relocate toMilan, with regular office presence.
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
