Prepare a variety of hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc., by selecting proper ingredients. Serves cold beverages and food items, such as sodas, juice cookies, muffins, pastries, etc. Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner. Sets up/cleans tables for customers and replenishes condiment items as necessary. Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes, and utensils as required. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks as required such as; coffee machines, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washes floors and walls, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload stock from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Assists with inventories,
identifies items for re-ordering. May be required to open and close the facility. Performs other related duties as assigned. **RequirementsConditions of employment**
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special occasions.
- This positions requires the successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
