FDIR System Engineer (M/F)

Overview In this role you define the FDIR for satellites across the project lifecycle, collaborating with engineering leads and disciplines to shape robust fault detection and recovery. You will influence system-, satellite-, and software architectures, and support in-orbit operations. The position involves hands-on problem solving, verification activities, and participation in reviews to ensure mission success.

This role offers impact on spacecraft reliability and operational readiness within a cross-functional team.

Responsabilità

- Define FDIR concepts, design, consolidation and tuning
- Contribute to system, satellite, avionic and SW architectures
- Contribute to Software specification
- Contribute to User Manuals
- Identify and analyze spacecraft operational constraints
- Contribute to verification processes and campaigns
- Participate in project technical and progress meetings




- Participate in system and equipment reviews
- Support in-orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning)

Requisiti fondamentali

- Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission and operations
- Experience across satellite domains (Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC)
- Excellent sense of responsibility
- Structured hands-on work approach
- Highly self-motivated and autonomous
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills

- University degree (Master/PhD) or equivalent education plus proven industrial experience
