Overview
As Third Party Commodity Manager, you will safeguard Leica Biosystems' European portfolio by sourcing third-party solutions when internal products fall short. You’ll own the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from identification to onboarding, contracting, and performance tracking, ensuring compliance and competitive pricing. You’ll bridge Sales, Tender, Application, and internal teams to define clear sourcing strategies and maintain a centralized supplier catalog.
You’ll drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This on-site Italy role offers meaningful work at the intersection of life sciences and patient impact.

Responsabilità
- Identify and onboard third-party solutions to complete the European portfolio
- Manage end-to-end supplier lifecycle: identification, qualification, onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring
- Ensure third-party products are certified, compliant, and properly documented
- Serve as the main interface between Sales, Tender/Bid,
Application Specialists and internal functions to translate needs into sourcing strategies
- Maintain a centralized, traceable catalog of products and suppliers including contracts, certifications, pricing, and master data
- Contribute to continuous improvement, market analysis, and category management to reduce risk and optimize costs across EMEA
Requisiti fondamentali
- MCIPS or equivalent professional procurement certification
- Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing or procurement in regulated industries (medical devices, IVD, diagnostics, life sciences)
- Strong knowledge of legal/regulatory frameworks for supplier contracting in medical/IVD
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management
- Experience in supplier qualification and onboarding to Danaher DBS or equivalent quality systems
- Travel up to 30% in Europe and UK; valid driving license with clean record
