Overview

As Strategic R&D Manager, you will define the medium- to long-term R&D strategy for the wound management portfolio and steer cross-functional development and external partnerships. You collaborate with Global Marketing, Project Managers, and procurement to align the roadmap with business goals and customer value. You translate market and clinical insights into differentiated technologies and scalable roadmaps, driving portfolio prioritization and efficient resource allocation. This leadership role offers influence across global stakeholders and a chance to shape future wound care technologies.

Responsabilità

- Define and own the R&D; strategy and technology roadmap for wound management in collaboration with Global Marketing
- Coordinate R&D; activities across sites to ensure efficient development and industrialization of solutions
- Drive portfolio prioritization and investment decisions aligned with business objectives




- Identify unmet needs and market trends through collaboration with marketing and clinical experts
- Translate insights into robust product platforms and competitive technology positioning
- Act as R&D; partner to Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Operations
- Support M&A;, licensing, or external innovation scouting
- Lead and mentor R&D; scientists and engineers and foster an innovation-driven culture
- Share expertise across the B. Braun Group to accelerate portfolio value

Requisiti fondamentali

- Master’s in Biomedical Engineering (as stated)
- 5+ years in R&D; within medical devices
- Strong background in wound management products
- Experience in R&D; strategy and portfolio management
- Solid understanding of ISO 13485, MDR/FDA requirements
- Fluency in English; German a plus
