About the Role Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for hydraulic components and related technical commodities, ensuring the supply of high-quality materials and services while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Responsibilities - Develop and implement sourcing strategies for hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, fittings, castings, forgings, machined parts, and assemblies.
- Lead supplier selection processes, RFQs, cost analysis, contract negotiations, and supplier qualification activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and sustainability.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to achieve cost reduction targets.
- Identify savings opportunities through market analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor commodity trends and proactively manage supply market risks.
- Support new product development and product change initiatives in partnership with Engineering.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality teams to improve inventory management, supply continuity, and supplier quality performance.
Qualifications - 7-10+ years of procurement experience within manufacturing environments.
Required Skills - Strong experience sourcing hydraulic components and technical commodities.
- Proven success in supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, manufacturing processes, and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced data analysis tools.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills - Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
