Overview In this role you will design and optimize MEMS structures for inertial sensors, focusing on gyroscopes, at the Milan Design Center. You will run model-based design and dedicated simulations to refine mechanical and electrical behavior, and develop novel algorithms for optimization. You will work within a cross-functional team, coordinating design, simulation, and project-management activities to drive innovative sensing solutions.
This position offers collaboration with engineering and technology teams and exposure to cutting-edge MEMS technology.

Responsabilità
- Design mechanical and electrical behavior of new MEMS structures based on customer requirements
- Conduct simulations to optimize MEMS structures with emphasis on gyroscopes
- Develop algorithms for design optimization and improve simulation methods
- Collaborate within a cross-functional engineering team
- Analyze cause-and-effect within designs and simulations
- Coordinate design and simulation tasks across teams
- Maintain close cooperation with project management and technology development
- Participate in lab experiments and validate designs
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master of Science or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent
- Fluent English (minimum B2); German is a plus
- Proficient coder with MATLAB and Python;
experience with Finite Element Simulation tools required
- Simulink skills are preferred
- Autonomous, self-organized working style in a complex development environment
- Structured concept development for simulations and algorithms
- Experience as MEMS design and model development specialist for inertial MEMS sensors (FEM, Matlab) with 3–5 years of experience
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (ASIC, package, etc.)
- Experience designing and conducting lab experiments
