Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,9 operational and + 0,7 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW. brWe are seeking an Grid Connection Engineer to support our ongoing and future projects in Italy. brManagement of the entire grid connection process, including communication with grid operators (e-distribuzione, Terna, etc.); brDrafting and submission of medium and high voltage grid connection applications; brAnalysis of technical outcomes (STMG/STMD) and verification of technical feasibility; brSupport during the development and permitting phases of projects, with a focus on electrical aspects; brCollaboration with legal, permitting, and project management teams; brEstimating costs and scheduling activities related to grid interconnection works; brCoordination with designers and support in designing connection-side systems; brSupport in preparing tender processes for grid interconnection works, including defining the scope of work, reviewing bids, and selecting contractors; brSupport in preparing contracts to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with OPDENERGY’s requirements; brManagement and supervision of engineering and construction activities related to grid connection works,
in coordination with Project Managers and Site Engineers; brParticipation in key phases of commissioning; brPerforming site surveys and audits during construction. brDegree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field; brAt least 2–3 years of previous experience in the field of electrical connections for renewable energy plants; brProven experience in the construction of HV substations; brProven experience in the construction of grid works with E-distribuzione; brKnowledge of the Italian Grid Connection Process (and TICA); brExcellent knowledge of the technical regulations for grid connection in Italy and processes with Terna and local distributors; brAbility to read and understand electrical diagrams, project drawings, and technical documentation; brGood knowledge of electrical design software and Microsoft Office package; brWritten and spoken English proficiency.
