The GECAL INFORMATICA Srl and ALTAIR SYSTEMS Group, an IT consulting company operating in the IT sector since ****, across the national and international territory, is looking for a* to expand its team IOT PLATFORM ENGINEER. We're looking for an IIoT engineer to support digital manufacturing and connected manufacturing initiatives, working closely with Digital Engineering, IT/OT, Manufacturing, and external vendors.
What you'll do: Support digital engineering and IIoT project delivery
Verify equipment testing (FAT/CAT) against approved requirements
Manage IIoT Gateway deployment, from procurement through installation
Support site/affiliate readiness, commissioning, and qualification
Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, and technology vendors
What we're looking for: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation, or related field (Master's in Automation/Robotics a plus)
Experience in industrial automation, smart manufacturing, or IIoT projects
Technical skills: OPC UA, MQTT, IT/OT networks, OT cybersecurity, CSV, Grafana, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate with technical and business stakeholders
Location:
Bologna, hybrid model, with onsite presence required during critical phases (testing, installation, commissioning)
