OverviewIn this role you contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps within our Vacuum Technologies R&D; team. You will apply structural and rotodynamic analyses, supported by simulations and experiments, to ensure performance, reliability, and durability. You collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing, and product management across the product lifecycle, driving improvements and validating new solutions. This position offers hands-on work at the intersection of analysis, testing, and cross-functional development with a meaningful impact on pump technology.ResponsabilitàDesign mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumpsPerform FEA to assess strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliabilityConduct rotodynamic analyses for vibration, critical speeds, and dynamic stabilityPlan and analyze experimental validation to align simulations with testingSupport noise and vibration investigations via data acquisition and analysisDevelop test plans, analyze results,
and generate technical recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve productsContribute to methodological and testing capability improvementsSupport root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field/manufacturing issuesRequisiti fondamentaliMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalentTypically 4+ years in mechanical product development, analysis, or validationExperience in rotating machinery or electromechanical systemsStrong knowledge of structural analysis and FEAProficiency with CAD and structural simulation tools; ANSYS strongly preferredKnowledge of rotordynamics, vibration analysis, and dynamic rotating systemsExperience with experimental testing and validation, including noise and vibration data acquisitionFamiliarity with test instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systemsAbility to interpret test data and correlate with modelsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work in a multidisciplinary and international environmentStrong communicationTeam collaborationProblem-solving mindsetFinite Element Analysis (FEA)ANSYSCAD software
