We are looking for a Commodity Buyer – Metal Components to manage sourcing activities across metal materials, components, and manufacturing-related categories.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for metal components and materials.
- Manage RFQ processes and supplier negotiations.
- Analyze quotations, cost structures, lead times, and supplier capabilities.
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Work with engineering teams to understand technical requirements.
- Support supplier selection for new products and production programs.
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
- Identify cost reduction and supply chain improvement opportunities.
- Track relevant market and material developments.
- Support commercial terms and supplier agreements.
- Identify sourcing risks and support supplier diversification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, commodity management, or supplier development.
- Understanding of metal components, materials, or manufacturing processes.
- Strong negotiation and cost-analysis capabilities.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers from commercial and operational perspectives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
