Role Description
This is a tempo parziale, remote role for a Medical Doctor licensed to practice in Italy. The physician will conduct video-based telemedicine consultations with English-speaking patients, provide evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans, and offer follow-up care as needed. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, documenting consultations, and issuing prescriptions when clinically indicated and in accordance with Italian regulations.
The role requires strong autonomy in a remote setting, clear patient communication in English, and a professional, patient-centered approach with international travelers who may be unfamiliar with the local healthcare system.
Qualifications
- Valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) and active registration with the Ordine dei Medici, with current authorization to practice medicine in Italy.
- Proven clinical experience in general/family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or outpatient practice, with strong remote assessment and treatment-planning skills.
- Strong English proficiency, sufficient to conduct full medical consultations with international patients.
- Experience or strong interest in telemedicine, including video consultations and digital documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear patient education and professional, empathetic care in a remote setting.
- Comfort working with international, English-speaking patients; knowledge of additional languages beyond Italian and English is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to work independently, and adherence to telemedicine and data protection regulations.
- Flexible availability and stable internet access for online consultations. Compatible with other clinical activity.
