You will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement, Engineering and R&D; team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.
This role is contributing to the ELSB, Energy Distribution, Procurement P&EM; in Italy. Main stakeholders are R&D; and Engineering project teams, local Procurement teams, and division Procurement Category Managers.
Work Model For The Role Is
Managing the ordering and on-time delivery of the prototype parts directly with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.
Being responsible for procurement Gate Model activities,
arranging project procurement gate meetings as required, and creating and maintaining the project related to procurement documents.
Estimating initial cost and quality and achieving product cost and quality targets.
Working to optimize cost and quality at all stages of the development projects.
You are highly skilled in procurement methodologies such as should-cost modeling, value chain analysis, and supplier development and are deeply engaged in the electrical equipment and energy distribution market.
You have at least 5 years of experience in procurement within New Product Development (NPD) programs, working as a Procurement Engineer or Project Buyer with mechanical/electromechanical/electronics components and systems.
Highly adept in SAP, SAP Ariba, or equivalent ERP/procurement platforms, and comfortable working with PLM and project management tools.
