Keysight is looking for a
Wireless Protocol Software Engineer
with strong
3GPP protocol expertise , focused on
Layer 1 (L1) and Scheduler , to contribute to advanced 5G and
pre‑6G
wireless technology development.
In this role, you will work
close to standards and real implementations , translating evolving 3GPP specifications into
robust, high‑performance software capabilities . You will contribute directly to
early 6G pre‑standard implementations , shaping how next‑generation wireless systems are designed, validated, and deployed.
This role operates in a
multi‑site international engineering environment , at the intersection of
standards, algorithms, and real‑world systems . xpavfwm
Responsibilities
Design and implement
optimized software
aligned with
5G L1 algorithms and protocols
Develop and enhance
UE and base station emulation
Contribute to
pre‑6G standards , following
3GPP evolution
Translate evolving requirements (3GPP releases, operator acceptance needs, O‑RAN priorities) into clear software designs, test workflows, and reusable comp
