This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer - AI-First (Java, Angular) based in Italy.
Join a fully remote engineering environment focused on building high-scale software with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
You will work across the full stack, combining Java and Spring Boot on the backend with Angular and TypeScript on the frontend.
The role gives you significant ownership, from product decisions and system architecture through cloud infrastructure and deployment.
You will use AI coding agents as productivity tools, guiding and validating their output while maintaining strong engineering standards.
Because the platform handles sensitive global compliance data, security, reliability, and thoughtful technical design are central to your work.
You will operate within a small, autonomous, meeting-light team alongside product stakeholders and other experienced engineers.

Accountabilities

Own the development and evolution of product features as part of an autonomous engineering team, collaborating closely with Product Managers on priorities and solutions.

Build and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript, adapting your focus between backend and frontend based on business and technical needs.

Apply AI-first development practices using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, and similar AI agents to accelerate implementation and improve engineering productivity.

Architect, implement, review, and validate AI-assisted code to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with engineering standards.
