Position Summary
The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in maintaining mechanical and utility systems across the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for executing and optimizing preventive maintenance, managing equipment reliability, participating in capital projects,
and enforcing high standards of safety and compliance. The engineer will also develop SOPs, supervise daily activities, coach technicians, and act as a critical interface between operations, maintenance, and engineering.
Functional Responsibilities
Mechanical, Static & Rotating Equipment Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance on both static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping, filters, strainers) and rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, fans).
- Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for mechanical assets using CMMS tools.
- Ensure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication, vibration analysis, thermography, and bearing monitoring for rotating equipment.
