Business Line Motors & Generators, ABB Motion (based in Europe / Asia)
We are looking for an Industry Sales Manager to own the global growth strategy in utilities/process industries within Business Line Motors & Generators. You will build strategic customer and industry relationships, identify and shape opportunities at an early stage, and translate market needs into segment priorities, qualified pipeline and sustainable business growth.
You will act as the global industry expert and guide ABB’s sales organization on where and how to compete. The role focuses on long-term market development and early opportunity shaping and project capturing.
Strategy & Market Development Develop and execute global industry growth strategies and business plans for assigned segments. Drive segment growth by creating,
qualifying and prioritizing a healthy long-term pipeline of opportunities and projects. Optimize ABB Motors & Generators global footprint market acceptance through actively driving AVL (approved vendor list) expansions to End Users.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Lead early-stage strategic engagement with end users, EPCs, OEMs and other industry influencers to shape customer needs and technical specifications. Opportunity Identification & Sales Leadership Identify and shape strategic opportunities, nominate priority pursuits, and support the responsible sales owner during the capture phase. Guide Local Sales Units, Account Managers and business leaders on industry priorities, account positioning and opportunity qualification.
Industry Expertise & Market Intelligence Act as the industry specialist for assigned segments and provide guidance on market trends, applications, competition and customer needs. Translat
