Job Description Summary
As Procurement Manager Italy (m/f/d) you are responsible for leading the strategic and operational procurement activities for our Powder Metallurgy Business Unit. This role ensures a cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply to our production sites while driving supplier excellence, sourcing strategies, and continuous cost optimization initiatives.
Job Description
Responsibility for strategic and operational procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of production sites.
Implementation of the regional procurement strategy and continuous improvement of local purchasing processes and supplier structures.
Conducting price, contract, and commercial negotiations, as well as concluding supplier agreements.
Analysis of procurement markets and identification, qualification, and development of new suppliers to ensure a competitive supplier base.
Establishment and maintenance of sustainable supplier relationships,
including supplier performance management and claims management.
Close collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and regional Procurement teams.
Leadership, coaching, and development of the local procurement team.
Required Skills And Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment, combined with a solid technical understanding.
Proven experience in the development and implementation of procurement and supplier strategies.
Strong expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
Analytical and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with strong communication and negotiation skills.
