Join a fully remote engineering team working on a mature internal platform that supports the creation and publication of intelligence content.
You’ll help maintain and modernize a production Laravel application while contributing across both backend and frontend technologies.
The role combines hands-on development with opportunities to improve testing, observability, tooling, and deployment practices.
You’ll play an important part in gradually moving an established system toward a modern cloud platform.
With significant autonomy, you’ll have the opportunity to make thoughtful improvements while keeping a dependable production environment running smoothly.
You’ll collaborate closely with platform and DevOps specialists as well as distributed colleagues across multiple regions.

Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve production features across the PHP/Laravel backend and JavaScript, CSS, and HTML frontend.
- Maintain and modernize the application while ensuring changes are introduced safely and sustainably.
- Keep PHP, Laravel, and other application dependencies current, including managing safe framework and version upgrades.
- Improve automated testing, observability, developer tooling, CI, and deployment automation to support reliable software delivery.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve production incidents, defects, and technical issues through structured debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to the modernization and migration of the application onto a cloud platform in collaboration with platform and DevOps teams.
- Document system behavior, dependencies, operational procedures, and runbooks to improve knowledge sharing and maintainability.
