Procurement Engineering Manager
Your Role And Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement, Engineering and R&D; team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.
This role is contributing to the ELSB, Energy Distribution, Procurement P&EM; in Italy. Main stakeholders are R&D; and Engineering project teams, local Procurement teams, and division Procurement Category Managers.
Work Model For The Role Is
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
- Managing the ordering and on-time delivery of the prototype parts directly with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.
- Being responsible for procurement Gate Model activities, arranging project procurement gate meetings as required, and creating and maintaining the project related to procurement documents.
- Estimating initial cost and quality and achieving product cost and quality targets.
- Working to optimize cost and quality at all stages of the development projects.
