IT Product / System & PLM Engineer (Railway Traction Systems) | Freelance Opportunity Location: Savigliano, Italy (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week onsite)

Travel: Occasional travel in Italy and abroad (approximately once every 3 months)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product / System & PLM Engineer with a strong background in railway traction systems to join an international railway engineering project. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire product lifecycle, supporting design, validation, commissioning, maintenance, and operational activities while collaborating with global engineering and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support the engineering and lifecycle management of railway traction systems
Coordinate technical activities between Engineering, Service, and Maintenance teams
Participate in testing, validation, commissioning, and operational support activities
Analyze technical issues and drive effective problem resolution
Ensure smooth integration of product developments into service operations
Work within international and multicultural project environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in railway traction systems, commissioning, maintenance, or warranty services
- Strong understanding of railway vehicle electrical architectures and traction systems
- Knowledge of rolling stock testing, validation, and commissioning processes
- Experience managing technical interfaces between engineering and service organizations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
- Fluent English communication skills
