About the Role
Layn Europe is looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Technical Sales Intern to join our team in Savona, Italy.
This opportunity is designed for a young professional who wants to develop a career at the intersection of commercial activities, food & beverage applications, and technical product development.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales Team, receiving continuous training and support, while also collaborating with our R&D; and Application Laboratory on product development and customer projects.
The goal of the internship is to provide strong technical and commercial training and, based on performance and mutual fit, to create the opportunity for a permanent position within Layn Europe at the end of the internship.
What You Will Do
During the internship, you will:
- Support the Sales Team in developing opportunities within the Food & Beverage industry
- Learn about Layn’s portfolio of natural ingredients, botanical extracts,
natural sweeteners and taste solutions
- Support customer projects from the initial commercial discussion through technical development and product application
- Work closely with our laboratory and technical team on product development, samples and customer-specific solutions
- Help prepare technical and commercial presentations for customers
- Participate in customer meetings and, progressively, customer visits
- Support market and business development activities
- Develop an understanding of customer needs and learn how to translate them into technical and commercial solutions
- Participate in trade shows, industry events and business trips when required
Who We Are Looking For
We are open to candidates from different academic backgrounds.
Technical / Scientific backgrounds may include:
Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, Pharmacy, Herbal Sciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines.
