Context of the Position
As part of our rapid international expansion across Europe, JD Logistics is deploying world-class automated warehousing and fulfillment infrastructure. We are seeking a bilingual Continuous Improvement Specialist/Manager to drive Lean transformations, eliminate operational waste, standardise SOPs, and seamlessly align local European site operations with global HQ standards.
The Mission & Core Scope
- The Mission: Lead site-level Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process optimization initiatives across warehouse departments, driving measurable productivity improvements, cost reductions, and operational standardization.
- The Scope:
You will act as the strategic process bridge between local European warehouse operational teams and global Chinese engineering/operational excellence HQ, analyzing operational data and deploying global best practices.
Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets
To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:
- Productivity & Bottleneck Elimination: Lead cross-functional Kaizen events resulting in tangible throughput rate increases (UPH) across Inbound, Sorting, and Outbound cells.
- Cross-Border Technical Alignment: Translate, adapt, and implement global HQ process standards into local site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with 100% operational fidelity.
- Cost & Defect Reduction (DPMO): Identify process failure modes and deploy root-cause corrective actions (5-Why, A3, 8D) to reduce defect rates and operational cost-per-unit.
