About the Role We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support a major international energy development project based in Milan. Working within the Project Information Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and secure management of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale, multinational project environment and work closely with engineering, project controls, and contractor teams across multiple locations.
Manage and maintain project documentation in accordance with project procedures, standards, and information management requirements.
Ensure accurate document receipt, registration, quality checks, distribution, and archiving within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Coordinate with contractor and supplier document control teams to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Monitor document status and provide regular reporting to project stakeholders.
Support information handover activities during project close-out and transition phases.
Respond to document-related queries and provide guidance to project personnel.
Liaise with project teams, contractors, and information management personnel across multiple international locations.
Participate in continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives to enhance document management processes.
Promote and maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) requirements.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Document Controller within major Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects.
Experience supporting large-scale engineering and construction projects.
Knowledge of project document control processes throughout the full project lifecycle.
Strong experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
