We are looking for a Liaison Officer to work at ESA's ESRIN site in Frascati, Italy.
In this role, you will be part of the HR Support Services, interfacing with ESA staff members on Expat or Diplomatic status in the agency.
About the client and location
The ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) is the European Space Agency's (ESA) base in Frascati, Italy. From this location ESA conducts most of their earth observation research, including data analysis and distribution for other non-ESA satellites.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work shall include the following activities:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the ESRIN Local Affairs service Office (LAO).
- Acting as an interface between ESRIN/LAO and the Protocol Office of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Italian Customs, and external service providers.




- Liaising with ESRIN ESA staff in relation to the implementation of the privileges and immunities provided for under the ESA Convention.
- Preparing staff information materials, including briefing kits and presentations.
- Acting as content editor for the LOA intranet page.
- Participating in meetings with the MFA.
- Supporting and managing the improvement of LOA processes and services.
- Supporting the development of detailed internal processes and procedures.
- Proposing, supporting, and managing digitalisation initiatives for the Office.
- Training newly recruited staff assigned to provide additional support to the LAO Office.
- Assisting with other tasks linked to harmonisation or backing up of Local Affairs tasks in the Section as required by the ESA Local Affairs Manager.

Skills and experience
