Senior Software Engineer, Field Survey Applications
Location:
Hybrid role with three days per week in the office, preferably in Concordia sulla Secchia (Modena) or Ancona office
Topcon Positioning Group designs productivity tools that bring workflow automation and seamless data connectivity to construction, Geomatics, and agriculture. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop field software used with GNSS receivers,
robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, and related technologies.
- Implement software modules that connect with Topcon and third-party field equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and software teams to plan delivery schedules and ensure high-quality execution.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application issues.
- Support existing mature software while contributing to new features, enhancements, testing, and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes.
Key skills and competencies
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with strong Java and/or C++ skills.
- Hands-on Android development experience, including Android Studio.
