If you share our passion for creativity, sustainability, and innovation, we’d love to hear from you. /p h3ABOUT THE ROLE /h3 pVivienne Westwood is currently looking for a Mid to Senior RTW Designer to join our Design Team and contribute to the development of our collections at our Milan Studio. /p h3Role Overview: /h3 pThe RTW Designer contributes to the development of seasonal ready-to-wear collections through research, silhouette exploration, and garment development, in line with the House’s distinctive design language. This role requires a strong sensitivity to cut, proportion, and historical reference, combined with the ability to translate creative concepts into technically resolved garments. /p h3Key Responsibilities: /h3 ul liCooperate with the design team across all stages of RTW collection development; /li liWork closely with the Design Director, Artistic Director, Creative Director and in-house Product Development team on design development and execution; /li liConduct in-depth research (historical costume, tailoring, archive references,
subcultural influences); /li liAssist in developing draped and constructed silhouettes; /li liProduce technical flats and CAD drawings; /li liWork closely with pattern cutters on toile development and fittings; /li liPrepare and update tech packs and product specifications; /li liParticipate in fittings and document changes; /li liSupport material research and contribute to fabric and trim development; /li liMaintain archive references and seasonal developments; /li liEnsure consistency with brand identity. /li /ul h3Required Skills Qualifications: /h3 ul liDegree in Fashion Design or equivalent; /li liStrong portfolio with tailoring, drape, and construction; /li liProficiency in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop; /li liKnowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting; /li liStrong attention to detail; /li liFluent in English and Italian languages. /li /ul h3Preferred Experience: /h3 ul liA minimum of 10 years' in-house experience in a similar role, working for a fashion brand or luxury company; /li liExperience with fittings and toile development; /li liCLO 3D knowledge is a plus; /li liStrong awareness of sustainable practices and responsible design principles. /li /ul h3Key Attributes: /h3 ul liStrong cultural and visual awareness; /li liInterest in heritage and craftsmanship; /li liDetail-driven and proactive; /li liBalance of creativity and technical discipline; /li liTeam-oriented mindset. /li /ul bVivienne Westwood is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
