The Role
They're looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial Regional Sales Director to own and build our commercial presence in Italy. This is a high-ownership, ground-floor seat - you'll work across enterprise, academic, and public sector accounts, building strategic partnerships with system integrators, cloud providers, and research institutions while driving meaningful revenue in one of Europe's most important markets.
What You'll Do
- Own revenue - drive new business and upsell opportunities to meet and exceed annual targets across Italy
- Define GTM strategy - build and execute a local go-to-market plan aligned to global objectives, prioritising enterprise, academic, and public sector segments
- Build partnerships - establish and manage strategic relationships with system integrators, cloud providers, research institutions, and government agencies
- Manage pipeline - run a structured sales process from prospecting through to close using CRM and data-driven methodology
- Act as a trusted advisor - engage customers and prospects at the executive level,
demonstrating real-world quantum value
- Collaborate cross-functionally - work closely with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success to feed regional insight back into the business
- Stay ahead of the market - track quantum computing developments across EMEA and contribute to strategic planning and roadmap direction
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of enterprise software sales, business development, or commercial leadership - ideally in deep tech or emerging technology
- Strong existing network across Italy's enterprise, academic, and government ecosystem
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets and building strategic partnerships from the ground up
- Self-starter who thrives independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive relationship management skills
- Knowledge of quantum computing or adjacent technologies (AI, EDA, HPC) is a strong advantage
- Based in Italy with excellent English
