ppTecnimont, MAIRE's flagship company for Integrated EC solutions with a presence in multiple countries, is an established powerhouse in the realm of innovative engineering and construction services, crafting the infrastructure for tomorrow's world. /p pTecnimont is seeking Materials Buyer to join our team in Catania. /p pThe successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing integrated solutions for complex plants designed to provide access to the latest technologies in our large-scale projects worldwide. /p pWith a rich heritage of technological innovation and a forward-thinking approach, we lead the energy transition through engineering excellence, cutting-edge technology and strong and dynamic execution capability. /p pTo learn more about Tecnimont: : Tecnimont - Official Website | Tecnimont /p pThe Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of Tecnimont. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Materials Buyer supports all procurement activities related to proprietary and critical equipment/materials associated with the projects and products developed by the company, ensuring proper supplier management, commercial evaluation, negotiation support, and purchase order issuance in compliance with project requirements, company procedures, budget targets, and project schedules. /p pThe role involves operating within an international and highly structured EPC environment, supporting both tendering and project execution phases through coordination with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams. /p pThe candidate will operate within highly dynamic and demanding project environments, requiring a proactive attitude, strong ownership mindset, and the ability to effectively manage complexity and multiple stakeholders. /p h3Main Activities Responsibilities: /h3 ul liEnsure that suppliers are properly qualified within the Group systems; if qualification activities require field visits, coordinate with the Inspection and Qualification department; /li liPrepare bidder lists according to project and product requirements; /li liIssue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for proprietary and critical equipment/materials, leveraging also e-Procurement systems; /li liReceive suppliers' offers and ensure proper tracking and archiving within Group systems; /li liLiaise with the technical departments of the involved Tecnimont companies to technically evaluate offers, according to the required level of detail and project dynamics; /li liPrepare and issue commercial evaluations to the MB Manager for strategic assessment and decision-making; /li liSupport Project Teams by highlighting the main reasons for eventual extra budgets and proposing mitigation actions; /li liProvide cost input for proprietary and critical equipment/materials cost models to support budgeting and internal benchmarking activities; /li liManage operational relationships with suppliers and maintain effective communication with vendors throughout procurement activities; /li liConduct commercial negotiations with suppliers, when appropriate,
in alignment with the MB Manager; /li liAssist the MB Manager in the customization of back-to-back contracts according to project, product, and supplier requirements; /li liIssue purchase orders in SAP once project numbers are available; /li liIssue purchase orders autonomously for products covered by framework agreements and approved price lists; /li liGather and maintain relevant supplier data, including revenues, Group intake, delivery performance, and quality KPIs; /li liSupport the MB Manager in interfacing with internal company functions, including Business Development, Engineering, Legal, and Project Control departments; /li liAssist in drafting recommendations for award, where required; /li liSupport the handover of awarded contracts to post-order functions; /li liReport regularly on procurement and buying activities; /li liEnsure compliance with internal procedures, methodologies, and procurement protocols; /li liSupport and cooperate with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator during project execution in case of commercial issues with vendors, including claims, change order requests, Liquidated Damages discussions, and contractual matters; /li liContribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, supplier management activities, and internal coordination workflows. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications Skills: /h3 ul li4/6 years of Purchasing experience; /li liExperience operating within international and challenging environments; /li liExperience in end-to-end tender management (RFx process); knowledge of e-Procurement systems is considered a plus; /li liExperience in supplier negotiation on both commercial and contractual Terms Conditions; /li liExperience in contract preparation and commercial documentation management; /li liSAP knowledge for procurement and supplies management; /li liAbility to interface effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams; /li liAbility to manage multiple priorities and operate within complex project environments; /li liStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage conflicting situations; /li liStrong written and verbal communication skills in English; /li liTeam player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships; /li liGood computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP; /li liAvailability to travel in Italy and abroad for short periods. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications: /h3 ul liDegree in Civil Engineering is considered a plus; /li liTechnical diploma (e.g. Surveyor/Geometra) may also be considered,
