Reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for executing and optimizing preventive maintenance, managing equipment reliability, participating in capital projects, and enforcing high standards of safety and compliance. The engineer will also develop SOPs, supervise daily activities, coach technicians, and act as a critical interface between operations, maintenance, and engineering. /ph3Functional Responsibilities /h3h3Mechanical, Static Rotating Equipment Responsibilities /h3ulliPerform inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance on both static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping, filters, strainers) and rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, fans). /liliDevelop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for mechanical assets using CMMS tools. /liliEnsure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication, vibration analysis, thermography, and bearing monitoring for rotating equipment. /liliLead or assist in major overhauls and turnaround activities for critical plant assets, coordinating contractor scopes and safety procedures. /li /ulh3Statutory Compliance MOM Inspections /h3ulliPlan and coordinate statutory inspections for pressure vessels, lifting equipment, and steam systems in accordance with MOM requirements, SS651, and the WSH (General Provisions) Regulations. /liliLiaise with Authorized Examiners (AE) and inspection bodies to ensure compliance with inspection intervals and proper documentation. /liliMaintain and update registers and certificates for regulated equipment; ensure readiness for MOM audits and EHS inspections. /liliSupport Permit-To-Work (PTW)



and confined space entry procedures, including risk assessment and isolation verification. /li /ulh3Reliability Engineering Continuous Improvement /h3ulliImplement equipment reliability strategies including RCFA, RCM, and FMEA. /liliIdentify and address recurring failures; recommend design modifications, material upgrades, or operational changes to improve uptime. /liliLead “bad actor” analysis and propose long-term corrective actions with measurable outcomes (e.g., MTBF/MTTR improvements). /liliTrack and analyze key reliability metrics, and support KPI reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager. /li /ulh3Safety, Audit Compliance Responsibilities /h3ulliEnsure strict adherence to all HSE policies, procedures, and Milliken’s Safety Absolutes in daily operations. /liliParticipate in safety programs including PTW, LOTOTO, JHA, incident investigations, safety inspections, and emergency drills. /liliSupport internal and external audits, including those related to MOM, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and SS651. /liliIdentify and mitigate risks through hazard identification, near‑miss reporting, and follow‑up on corrective actions. /li /ulh3SOP Development Documentation /h3ulliDevelop, review, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance checklists for all mechanical and utility systems. /liliEnsure SOPs reflect best practices, regulatory compliance, and lessons learned from incidents or RCAs. /liliProvide technical input and training to technicians to ensure SOPs are effectively followed. /li /ulh3Team Supervision Task Management /h3ulliSupervise daily activities of mechanical technicians and in-house contractors to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks. /liliAssign and track job tasks using CMMS and job sheets; ensure resource availability and schedule adherence. /liliCoach and mentor technicians on job execution, safety, and troubleshooting practices. /liliMonitor contractor performance and always enforce safe work practices. /liliLead daily toolbox meetings and coordinate manpower planning, especially during shutdowns or emergency work.
