ppThis is an opportunity to take full technical ownership of the secondary engineering scope on complex HV substation projects, working from concept design through to execution. You will play a key role in delivering reliable protection, control, communication, and auxiliary systems that support critical energy infrastructure across the Netherlands. /p h3The Role /h3 pAs Senior Secondary Design Engineer, you will lead the detailed secondary engineering on HV substation projects up to 500kV. Your work covers the full scope of secondary systems including protection philosophies, control narratives, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, auxiliary power systems, and substation communication networks. You will be involved from early concept design through to detailed execution and your technical ownership of deliverables is expected throughout. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liLeading detailed secondary engineering for HV substations up to 400kV. /li liDeveloping protection philosophies, functional specifications, and control narratives. /li liDesigning protection and control schemes, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. /li liPerforming AC and DC calculations, CT and VT sizing, cable sizing, and relay selection. /li liEngineering auxiliary power systems and substation communication networks. /li liCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete, high-quality engineering packages.
/li /ul h3What We’re Looking for /h3 ul li10 or more years of experience in secondary engineering for HV substations. /li liStrong experience in protection and control design with proven expertise in panel design, wiring, and schematic drawings. /li liSolid knowledge of protection relays, telecom systems, and LAN networks. /li liExperience with detailed engineering of transmission infrastructure. /li liFluent in English, both written and spoken. /li liIEC 61850 experience. /li liBattery sizing knowledge. /li liMedium-voltage project experience. /li liELCAD-AUCOPLAN experience. /li /ul pIf you do not meet every requirement but have a strong electrical engineering background with relevant industrial experience, we still encourage you to apply.
