ph3About The Role /h3 pWe are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Aon's Talent Data Solutions business in Italy, focusing on selling our market-leading compensation data, surveys and associated platforms. This role combines initiating new business opportunities with the expansion of relationships and revenues within an assigned portfolio of existing clients. /p h3About The Role /h3 pWe are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Aon's Talent Data Solutions business in Italy, focusing on selling our market-leading compensation data, surveys and associated platforms. This role combines initiating new business opportunities with the expansion of relationships and revenues within an assigned portfolio of existing clients. /p pYou will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline, leading the full sales cycle and positioning Aon's Radford McLagan Compensation Database and related solutions to HR and Compensation Benefits (CB) leaders. Working directly with local and EMEA colleagues, you will assist Italian organisations in using compensation data. This will improve reward decisions and support their wider talent and business strategies. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3New Business Development /h3 ul liProactively identify, research and qualify new sales opportunities for our Talent Data Solutions (compensation surveys, databases, platforms and related services). /li liBuild and run a robust pipeline of prospects through outbound prospecting, networking, events, partnerships and referrals. /li liPrioritise high-potential targets and implement the commercial plan for Data Solutions in Italy with a clear focus on acquiring new clients. /li liLead the end-to-end new business sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, dealing and closing. /li liEngage with executives and key decision-makers (HR Directors, CB Leaders and Finance leaders) to understand their strategic compensation and rewards needs and position Aon's solutions accordingly. /li liDevelop strong product and market knowledge to clearly articulate our value proposition and differentiation in complicated situations. /li /ul h3Account Management Growth /h3 ul liLead a defined group of current clients, acting as a trusted advisor on Rewards Data Solutions topics. /li liDeepen relationships with key partners,
growing client happiness, loyalty and long-term retention. /li liIdentify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts (e.g. additional survey participation, new geographies, complementary advisory support) and convert these into concrete commercial actions. /li liRegularly review account performance and usage of our data solutions, sharing insights and recommendations to support clients' decision-making. /li liCoordinate with Client Success, consulting and product teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing value for clients. /li /ul h3Cross-Functional Collaboration Reporting /h3 ul liCollaborate with internal resources (Rewards Business Leader, consulting, product, marketing, operations and other business lines) to design and deliver effective solutions for prospects and existing clients. /li liPrepare and deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals and contracts tailored to each opportunity or account. /li liMaintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM (Salesforce), including leads, activities, opportunities and sales, ensuring reliable pipeline visibility and forecasting. /li liCollaborate with our business areas and regional teams to generate cross-selling opportunities and chip in to common objectives (Aon United). /li /ul h3Required Experience /h3 ul liDegree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields. /li liAt least 3 years of prior commercial / sales experience, ideally in roles combining client acquisition and account management. /li liExperience in technology, software or data-driven solutions sales is a strong advantage. /li liStrong understanding of Human Resources, especially in Compensation Benefits or Rewards. /li liProficiency in Office 365; familiarity with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce). /li liValuable knowledge of data analytics, AI-based sales support applications and commercial prospecting tools.
/li liFluency in English (C1-C2); many sales processes are conducted in English and in collaboration with other European colleagues. /li liKnowledge of a third European language is a plus. /li /ul h3Desired Profile /h3 ul liStrong commercial drive and hunter mentality, combined with experience in championing and growing existing client relationships. /li liConsistent track record in achieving sales targets and developing long-term client accounts. /li liClient orientation and consultative selling skills, with the capacity to understand client needs and translate them into tailored solutions. /li liAbility to work in a team and coordinate with different partners across the business, both nationally and internationally. /li liCritical thinking and adaptability in sophisticated and changing environments. /li liStrong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate efficiently with different Aon areas and with other business producing offices in the Aon global network. /li liProven dealing skills with clients, including at executive level. /li liHigh level of proactivity, dynamism and resilience, with a pragmatic, problem-solving attitude. /li liClear and fluent communication when presenting solutions and results, in both Italian and English. /li /ul h3What Makes This Opportunity Different /h3 pThis role offers the opportunity to sell the gold standard in compensation data, working with Aon's Radford McLagan Compensation Database and related solutions that are trusted by leading organisations worldwide.
