I&C; Technician - Outage Contract
You will report onsite to various nuclear facilities in North and South Carolina.
You will report to the I&C; Supervisor.
Responsibilities
-
- Plan, layout, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
- Select type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification.
- Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, and chemical composition , using precision instruments, and hand tools.
- Measure, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs primary piping and tubing.
- Read and interpret instructions and documentation and plan work activities.
- May disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
- Inspect instruments and test equipment periodically and adjust calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards.
- Install associated support structures, components and tubing.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
-
- 3 years' experience in I&C; field.
- 1 year of nuclear experience
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
