ph3Senior Underwriter Property - Team Leader /h3 pMilan, Italy /p pJoining AXA XL as an experienced Underwriter you will leverage your specialized expertise to underwrite even the most complex risks with a tailor-made and innovative approach. /p pIn your underwriting role you will be responsible for writing new and renewal business for the product line, working with brokers and clients in support of the profitable growth of the portfolio in line with the agreed Business Plan, as well as developing high quality levels of relationships with brokers, clients and internal functions. /p pThis is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime. /p h3What you’ll be doing /h3 pWhat will your essential responsibilities include? /p ul liReviewing submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports while conducting appropriate research to determine the degree of risk for each account. /li liCalculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector, reinsurance cessions as well as the Underwriting and general administration costs while ensuring profitability. /li liProactively advising, assisting, servicing, and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements. /li liEffective relationship management to initiate opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention. /li liControlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards. /li liSupporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits. /li liMaintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims. /li liCoordinating and supporting a team of Property Underwriters, providing day-to-day guidance, facilitating workload prioritization and promoting collaboration to ensure the achievement of individual and collective business objectives. /li /ul pYou will report to the Head of Underwriting Property, Energy Construction, Italy /p h3What you’ll bring /h3 pWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: /p ul liProven underwriting experience in Property within commercial insurance market /li liExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
