We are looking for a Global Product Quality Engineer to take ownership of product quality and reliability across the entire lifecycle of our EV charging portfolio. From supporting new product introductions to driving field reliability improvements, you will play a key role in bringing the customer perspective into product development and manufacturing excellence. Working at the intersection of RD, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service, you will contribute directly to the performance, safety, and customer experience of industry-leading charging solutions while supporting the transition to sustainable mobility. /p pJoin us to help deliver reliable, high-quality charging solutions that are accelerating the future of sustainable transportation worldwide. /p h3Your responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn the quality performance and reliability of an assigned EV charging product family throughout its entire lifecycle, from New Product Development through field deployment and end-of-life. /li liRepresent the voice of the customer during product development reviews, ensuring quality, reliability, and user requirements are embedded in design decisions. /li liDrive product verification and validation activities, defining test strategies and ensuring comprehensive coverage of electrical, mechanical, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. /li liDevelop and implement effective quality control and testing strategies to support robust manufacturing processes and at-source quality assurance. /li liLead complex root cause investigations and corrective action programs using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, and Ishikawa. /li liCollaborate closely with global RD, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Quality, Service, and Contract Manufacturing partners to resolve product and production quality issues. /li liAnalyse quality and process performance data using SPC, process capability metrics (Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk),



and other statistical tools to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. /li liApply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality, manufacturing performance, and key business KPIs. /li liMaintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent execution and compliance across the product lifecycle. /li liPromote a strong safety and quality culture by operating in line with ABB's environmental, health, and safety requirements. /li /ul h3Your background /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. /li li5+ years of experience in Product Quality, Reliability Engineering, Verification Validation, or a similar technical role. /li liStrong understanding of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems and manufacturing processes. /li liExperience with product verification, reliability testing, and failure analysis methodologies. /li liAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. /li liWorking knowledge of Python for data analysis or test automation and familiarity with Linux environments. /li liFluent written and spoken English. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liIATF 16949, QS9000, or equivalent quality certification. /li liExperience in EV charging, power electronics, energy infrastructure, or related industries. /li liFamiliarity with DVPR, advanced FMEA methodologies, or reliability engineering frameworks. /li /ul h3What’s in it for you? /h3 pWork with the best specialists in their field, in a diverse environment with unparalleled global reach. Our individual differences make us successful. /p h3Compensation Package /h3 pThe employment framework is based on the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry, with an indicative level of C3/B2 and a minimum gross annual salary starting from € 31.000,00. The specific level and compensation package will be defined based on the outcome of the selection process (including experience, skills set, and role fit), in accordance with objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria, in line with pay equity and equal opportunity principles.
