Working closely with stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and project managers, the successful candidate will drive large enterprise application Java EAP migration initiatives and ensure successful modernisation outcomes that deliver measurable business value.What You'll Be DoingLead architecture assessment, modernisation planning, and migration of enterprise Java applicationsDefine and drive the technical architecture and implementation approach for complex Java-based enterprise applicationsAssess application dependencies, frameworks, integrations, infrastructure components, and security controls to identify migration impacts and remediation requirementsDesign scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing systems using Java and modern architectural patternsEstablish architectural standards, design principles, coding guidelines,
and technology best practices covering security, scalability, maintainability, performance, and supportabilityDefine migration patterns for Java/Jakarta EE compatibility, library upgrades, API replacements, and application server modernisationCreate architecture diagrams, technical specifications, solution designs, and migration runbooksProvide hands-on architectural and technical guidance to development teams throughout implementationProactively identify technical risks, compatibility issues, dependencies, and blockers and drive them toward resolutionLead technical discussions with client architects, application teams, infrastructure, security, database, QA, and DevOps teamsDesign and implement integration solutions using REST APIs, messaging platforms, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patternsSupport troubleshooting of complex issues and provide architectural recommendations and solutionsSupport technical estimation, implementation planning, design reviews, architecture governance, and technical decision-makingLeverage AI-assisted development and modernisation tools for application xysqume discovery, code analysis, remediation, testing, documentation, and impact assessmentDefine AI-assisted engineering practices, quality controls, and governance to ensure AI-generated outputs are validated, secure, and production-readyMentor developers and technical leads, promoting engineering excellence and technical best practicesWhat You'll Bring AlongBachelor's degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required12+ years of IT experience with significant experience in Java application development, architecture, and technical leadershipProven track record leading complex application modernisation, migration, or transformation initiativesExperience delivering enterprise-scale programs involving multiple applications, development teams, and stakeholdersExperience working in large and complex enterprise environments with mission-critical applications#J-18808-Ljbffr
