We are a team racing in the F4, FIA F3 and FIA F2 categories. We are seeking a skilled Category Lead Race Engineer to join our single-seater motorsport team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work at the cutting edge of motorsport technology, ensuring our race cars perform at peak levels on and off the track.Le informazioni riportate di seguito illustrano i requisiti del ruolo, l'esperienza richiesta ai candidati e le qualifiche associate.ROLE OVERVIEWThe Category Lead Race Engineer is responsible for leading the engineering and mechanical team in all technical aspects, working under the supervision of the Team Manager and Racing Director.This role includes, but is not limited to: car and setup development, driver communication, run planning, data analysis, car build specifications, bench test management, component life management, technical job lists, and coordination of the technical team for event preparation, event execution, and reporting. The Lead Race Engineer will also run one car during DIL (Driver-in-the-Loop) sessions, as well as race and test events.The engineering structure includes a second permanent Race Engineer, primarily focused on simulation and DIL setup preparation, track performance engineers (F2) or a third Race Engineer (F3/FR), a remote team dedicated to data, simulation, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics performance analysis,
as well as a software development department.The Lead Race Engineer will also contribute to management meetings by providing reports and analysis on track performance.REQUIREMENTSStrong team player with excellent leadership and communication skillsMinimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the same or a higher-level championshipAbility to make quick, rational, and data-driven decisions under tight deadlinesEngineering or Master's degree with a strong background in Vehicle Dynamics, Tires, and/or Aerodynamics, along with solid overall knowledge across these domainsExtensive experience with racing tools (data software such as MM, data management systems, simulation tools, KPIs, etc.)Willingness and ability to travel regularly to all race and test eventsThis is a strongly team-oriented role requiring a genuine team-first mentality.
