ppHitachi Energy is seeking a bGlobal Supplier Development Engineer /b for the Business Unit Transformers to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will ensure our suppliers deliver high-quality materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness. You will implement proactive quality assurance processes to enhance the quality and delivery performance of our supply base. Aligning with our Category Strategy, you will lead supplier assessments, manage development initiatives, oversee parts approvals, and drive continuous improvement, ultimately elevating our supplier partnerships and contributing to our operational excellence. /p h3How You Will Make An Impact /h3 ul liLead the supplier qualification process by conducting SAP Ariba assessments and executing global on-site audits to ensure supplier compliance and capability. /li liImplement improvement actions at suppliers based on audit findings and identified process improvements, fostering enhanced collaboration and quality outcomes. /li liOversee the global parts approval process to ensure supplier materials and components meet technical and operational requirements. /li liMonitor supplier performance indicators and drive the annual Supplier Performance Evaluation process to identify and address low-performing suppliers. /li liDevelop and implement action plans for supplier performance recovery, working closely with suppliers to ensure the effectiveness of corrective measures. /li liResolve escalated non-conformities with suppliers by leading root cause analysis and ensuring proper implementation of corrective actions. /li liDrive continuous improvement in supplier management processes at a global level, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices across the business unit.



/li liSupport SCM sustainability initiatives by executing tasks related to sustainability and compliance, ensuring alignment with material and supplier sustainability goals. /li /ul h3Your background /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field. /li liMinimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance and supplier development. in the field of metal fabrication, welding, machining, transformer components or similar industries. /li liKnowledge of heat treatment processes and surface protection processes such as hot-dip galvanization, powder and wet paint processes, E-coating (KTL) processes, etc. /li liFamiliarity with ISO-9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and external auditor certification is a plus. /li liWelding engineering/inspector certification (e.g. International Welding Engineer/Inspector (IWE/IWI), painting/coating inspector certification (e.g. FROSIO), NDT certification (ISO 9712) is a strong advantage. /li liGood understanding of management standards such as ISO 3834, EN 1090, welding standards (ISO 9606, ISO 15609, ISO 15614) and the quality acceptance levels (e.g. ISO 5817, ISO 23277) and Non-destructive testing standards (ISO 3452, ISO 17637). /li liProven experience with the process audits, APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Process Control Plan, and inspection test plan creation.



/li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. /li liAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
