We are X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned company and a global leader in the renewable energy sector; with over 3 GW of renewable projects (solar/BESS) built, we currently operate in 12 countries and have a development pipeline of 12 GW of solar and 14 GW of BESS capacity, and we are looking for you!Tutte le competenze, le qualifiche e l'esperienza necessarie per un candidato di successo sono elencate nella seguente descrizione.Reporting to: Engineering & Construction Manager ItalyBased in: Rome, ItalyOpen opportunity: Senior Technical Project Manager ManagerThe selected professional will be responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering activities related to utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Italy, covering the full project lifecycle: development, design, construction, and commissioning.What will you do?Lead engineering for PV and BESS projects from early-stage to development, permitting, construction, and commissioningAct as technical reference for grid connection, layout optimization, yield assessments, and technology selectionSupport permitting, due diligence, and M&A processesValidate designs from co-developers, consultants, and EPCsReview RFIs and design changes; supporting commissioning and performance validationEnsure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and bankability requirementsDrive CAPEX optimization and support investment decisions with technical-economic analysisCollaborate with finance, procurement,
and commercial teamsLead BESS-specific engineering: sizing, integration, safety compliance, and grid code requirementsManage technical interfaces with EPCs, grid operators, lenders, and authoritiesLead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teamsPrepare technical reports for management and investorsWhat do we need?Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience as Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Lead in utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects.Proven experience in project development, design review, CAPEX analysis, and construction-phase engineering management.Strong knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, grid integration, and EPC project execution.Experience working with co-developers, EPC contractors, and international project teams.Proficiency in English and Italian.
